The “Martha” have been serving our parish family for over twenty years,founded by six women who saw the need to be of assistance to families suffering the death of a family member. About fifty others joined them, providing food and serving refreshments after the Rosary-Wake Service or a luncheon following the funeral Mass. There has never been a charge to the families. For many years the ministry was headed by Pat Simpson and on her “’retirement” two years agoGigi El Masry took up the challenge of coordinating the “Marthas” for one year.Today Trudie Hess, Eileen Chouvin and Mary Deisneroth coordinate the program.
